Personal Bio

Having started my real estate career in 2004, I understand how markets change and how those changes impact buyers and sellers. Whether negotiating price, working quickly through potential problems or assisting through the many aspects of buying or selling, I will be with you to the end.

I am here to assist you with all aspects of your real estate needs and look forward to getting to know you. Education is important to me, so I have earned designations as Certified Residential Specialist, Accredited Buyers Representative and Certified Negotiation Expert, as well as my Managing Broker License.

I grew up in Yakima and love introducing the area to new people. The seasonal changes offer great experiences across Central Washington and the state. My husband and I spend our free time exploring the Pacific NW for out-of-the-way vacation spots.

I am actively involved in the Yakima Association of REALTORS, having served on several committees and the Board of Directors. I contribute to and support Humane Society of Central WA, Heifer International and Rod's House.

A REALTOR® is a member of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION of REALTORS® and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.

Code of Ethics

The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORS® since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:

Loyalty to clients;

Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients;

Cooperation with competitors;

Truthfulness in statements and advertising; and non-interference in exclusive relationships that other REALTORS® have with their clients.

To earn a designation, a REALTOR® a real estate agent has taken coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry

Certified Residential Specialist

CRS stands for Certified Residential Specialist. Less than 4% of all agents have this designation. This is the most difficult designation to obtain and is a measure of a high degree of formal education and real world transactional experience. To obtain a CRS, the agent must attend three 2-day classes, pass three exams, and provide proof of 25 closed transactions within the last 24 months. While the transaction experience isn’t a huge amount, it does weed out the inexperienced agents and the classes weed out those agents who aren’t dedicated to continuing education.

Accredited Buyer’s Representative

ABR stands for Accredited Buyer’s Representative. Less than 30% of agents have this designation. This designation combines 2 days of classroom work and an exam with the requirement that the agent show proof of at least five buyer sales. This designation shows that the agent has had both formal classroom time and in the field experience.

Certified Negotiation Expert

CNE® Designation...
Buying or selling property can be a very challenging situation. Your CNE® professional is trained in advanced negotiation techniques and approaches. This training enables your agent to better help you achieve your goals. Your CNE® professional will be able to handle your real estate negotiations with skill and excellence. You can be confident you will get the very best results when you choose a CNE® professional!

The purchase or sale of property can be both logical as well as very emotional! Multiple parties, conflicting interests, and a myriad of issues can make a simple negotiation very complex. In choosing your real estate professional there is one factor above all others you should consider: how well can your real estate professional negotiate on your behalf.

You (the client) set the terms and conditions for your agent to achieve. It is then up to your agent to use all of his/her skills to persuade the other side to accept your terms. You need to be certain your agent has the skills to effectively persuade and influence the other side. Real estate negotiations include many different people and issues. It is your best interest to hire an agent specifically trained to handle the complexities normally associated with these types of negotiations.

An agent who carries the CNE® (Certified Negotiation Expert) designation has been trained in professional negotiation skills by the Real Estate Negotiation Institute, the leading negotiation training and coaching company for real estate professionals in North America. A CNE® professional knows how to use leading edge negotiation practices and techniques for your benefit.. You can always be confident your CNE® professional will achieve the very best results for you!
